Jarvis on the dark side of today's UGC...

Here's an interesting post by Jeff Jarvis (over at buzzmachine.com) about the negative consequences of today's effortless and speedy communication capability, created by web 2.0 socio-technological environment.

This seems to be very relevant to our understanding of why news cycle is shrinking and what negative effects it has on the quality of journalism: People demand more speed, have less ability to focus on any particular piece of news information, and therefore care less about substance.
